Headway Named Dudley Town FC’s Charity Partner

Headway Black Country is proud to announce it has been selected as the Charity of the Year 2025 by Dudley Town Football Club.

This exciting new partnership will help raise awareness of acquired brain injury, an often-overlooked issue, while building strong connections between local sport and vital community support services.

It’s an opportunity to raise awareness, generate much-needed funds, and foster meaningful collaboration.

Jayne Emery, Chief Officer of Headway Black Country, said:

“We are honoured to be chosen as Dudley Town Football Club’s nominated charity for the year. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of brain injury, particularly within football, while also strengthening our ties with the local community.

We appreciate the club’s support and look forward to working together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by brain injury.”

Headway Black Country supports individuals and families across the Black Country living with the impact of brain injury and providing emotional support, life skills development, and rehabilitation guidance. With Dudley Town FC now backing this mission, the potential for impact is even greater.

Stephen Austin, Director at Dudley Town Football Club, said:

“It was a unanimous and popular decision to choose Headway Black Country as our new charity of choice to support for the foreseeable future. We look forward to working with Jayne and the team over the next few weeks and months for the mutual benefit of both organisations, and we look forward to welcoming you to our games and working on joint initiatives over the next 12 months.”

This partnership will include collaborative events, matchday spotlights, and community fundraising to help more people rebuild their life after brain injury.
