Tee Off for a Great Cause – Charity Golf Day 2026
Join us for a fantastic day of golf, fun and fundraising at the beautiful Astbury Golf Club, Bridgnorth,
all in support of Headway Black Country.
Whether you are a seasoned golfer or simply enjoy a friendly round with colleagues or friends, this is a brilliant opportunity to enjoy the game while making a real difference to people affected by brain injury.
Why This Year’s Golf Day Means So Much
Rachel Hall is a valued member of the Headway Black Country team and our Community Fundraiser, leading both last and this year’s Charity Golf Day.
This year, the event carries a deeply personal meaning for her and her family.
Last year, her husband Chris, who is only in his 40s, won the 2025 Charity Golf Day with his team on 11th July. Just ten days later, while the family were on holiday in Spain, Chris suffered a sudden bleed on the brain. There were no warning signs and no previous health concerns.
Rachel and her family spent 13 weeks in Spain before Chris was airlifted back to the UK. Nearly seven months on, he remains in hospital and, after several setbacks, is hoping to restart his rehabilitation journey soon.
Brain injury can happen to anyone at any time. For Rachel and her family, what began as a celebration quickly became an unimaginable challenge that is still ongoing.
This year’s Charity Golf Day now holds even greater meaning. By taking part, sponsoring, or supporting the event, you are helping Headway Black Country continue providing vital support and rehabilitation to people impacted by brain injury across the Black Country.
Your support truly makes a difference.
